Enjoy a fabulous walk-through experience for culture-lovers young and old.
In this enchanted landscape, you’ll take on an important mission: helping our historian to solve the mysteries of Damart Mill. You’ll pass through secret doors, a fairy forest and even go underwater on your quest – and perhaps you’ll meet some special guests along the way.
Dreamed up by artist Steve Wintercroft, produced by Yorkshire’s very own ARCADE and built entirely from recycled and repurposed materials, Grue is named after an ancient word for ‘shiver’ – but don’t worry about the cold! You’ll be able to warm up with a drink and a snack, and take part in special crafting activities on site.
About ARCADE
ARCADE is a charity that supports communities to get involved in art and creativity. We are based in Scarborough and Bridlington but work in lots of different places.
About Wintercroft
Wintercroft is an environmentally conscious design company specialising in helping people make masks from waste card. Their masks provide a therapeutic, satisfying way to connect with a side of ourselves that we might not even have known was there.
Tickets for under 5s
Grue is a magical experience designed for children aged 5 and over. If you’d like to bring a younger child, children under 5 will need their own ticket. Babes in arms (0-2 years) can attend for free, but you must still book them a ticket. To organise your booking, please contact our ticketing team on [email protected] – see our opening times.
