About the event

What time is the event?

The gates open at 5pm on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 January. Join us early to soak up the atmosphere, enjoy food and drink, and look out for some surprises – we recommend arriving no later than 6pm, as there may be queues and bag searches will take place on entry. The show itself starts at 6.30pm and should finish at approximately 7.15pm. There’ll then be a DJ before the gates close at approximately 8.15pm.

Are there any age restrictions?

RISE is suitable for all ages, but please note that under16s must be accompanied by an adult.

I’m eligible for free entry because I’m aged under 16 or over 60. Do I need a ticket or can I just turn up?

Everyone needs a ticket, including children and others who are eligible for free entry. This is because capacity is limited in City Park, so tickets are necessary to help us ensure spectator safety – and to make sure there’s enough room for everyone to see the show. You can book free tickets at bradford2025.co.uk.

Are there seats?

RISE is a standing event – but there will be an accessible viewing platform for wheelchair users and their companion, and for anyone else who needs a seat for access reasons. Spaces on the platform are limited and must be booked in advance. Please contact our Ticketing team at [email protected] to book your space and/or to discuss your access requirements.

Will there be food and drink?

Yes! There’ll be a range of food and drink to purchase on both nights from the following outlets:

  • Caribbean Grill
  • Eyes on the Fries
  • Flame ‘n’ Go
  • Nomadic Pizza
  • SS Chaat Corner
  • The Coffee Cabin
What can I bring with me?

We want to ensure that Bradford 2025 events are safe for everyone to enjoy. The following items will not be allowed in to City Park.operation.

  • Large luggage, bags and/or suitcases
  • Professional film and photography equipment
  • Alcohol
  • Drugs
  • Weapons
  • Lasers
  • Fireworks or sparklers
  • Bikes
  • Scooters or e-scooters
  • Camping chairs
  • Balaclavas may not be worn

Please note that bag searches will take place on entry and queues are likely, so please arrive no later than 6pm.

In the event of rain, please refrain from using umbrellas during the show, as they can block other people’s views.

Will there be a cloakroom?

There won’t be any cloakroom facilities on site, so please don’t bring large bags or luggage.

Will there be toilets?

Yes. There will be toilets inside the event space, including accessible toilets. There will also be a Changing Places toilet – please bring your RADAR key, if you have one, and you must bring your own sling.

Will the event include loud music or flashing lights?

Yes, RISE may include loud music and flashing lights. There will be a signposted indoor quiet space away from the main event. If you’d like to know more about it, please ask a member of our team when you arrive.

Are animals allowed?

Service animals are welcome, but no other animals will be allowed in City Park due to the show featuring loud music and flashing lights.

If I need to leave the site, can I re-enter?

No – re-entry is not permitted.

Will the event still go ahead in bad weather?

Yes unless there are extreme weather conditions, in which case we will inform all ticket-holders in advance.

Will RISE be crowded?

We expect RISE to be busy, but capacity has been managed to ensure everyone can enjoy the event safely. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, we will have a signposted indoor quiet space away from the main event – please ask a member of our team on arrival if you’d like to know more about this.

I bought a ticket but now I can’t come. Can I return my ticket or get a refund?

If you’ve bought a ticket for RISE and are no longer able to attend, please contact our Ticketing team at [email protected] to arrange either an exchange to an alternative event or credit on your Bradford 2025 account. As per our terms and conditions, no refunds will be issued. For our full ticketing refund and exchange policies, please visit https://bradford2025.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/.

Please let us know if you no longer need some or all your tickets, including free tickets, so we can reallocate them to people on the waiting list. To return your ticket(s), please contact our Ticketing team at [email protected].

Is there a limit on the number of tickets I can purchase?

You can book a maximum of six tickets per transaction. If you need to make a group booking for more than six people, please contact our Ticketing team at [email protected].

Audio description

How to access audio description at RISE

Audio description is a live, narrative description of the performance for anyone who is blind or visually impaired, or might generally benefit from a description of what’s happening in the show.

To access audio description at RISE, you will need to bring to the event:

  • Your smartphone (either Apple or Android)
  • The headphones you would normally use with your phone – you will need them to listen to the audio description

Before you arrive on site, we recommend you download the Listen WIFI app from Listen Everywhere.

When you arrive at RISE, go to the Access Information Point, where the team will explain how to access the audio description – you will be asked to join a specific Wi-Fi network. This is straightforward and our team are here to help!

You can also download the app on site, but we strongly encourage downloading in advance to save time on arrival.
