Booked a ticket for a drive-in cinema screening at Cannon Mills? Here's what you need to know.

I've got a question - how do I get in touch?

You can contact our Ticketing team on [email protected] or by calling 01274 053100. See our opening times.

Ticket terms and conditions

Read our full ticket terms and conditions for information about refunds, cancellations, and more.

Do I have to be in a car to attend?

This is a drive-in film screening and therefore all attendees must attend the event in a car.

Will I be allocated a parking spot?

When you book your ticket, we’ll ask for your vehicle registration and the make and model. This allows us to allocate specific parking for small, medium and large cars, guaranteeing everyone a great view of the screen.

Please advise if you have any specific requirements that would necessitate your car being parked in a specific place by email: [email protected].

What if I change my car between now and the event?

Contact our Ticketing team with your new vehicle registration and make and model, 24 hours before the film so we can alter your booking and avoid parking delays onsite.

Why do I need to arrive early?

It takes time to safely park over 100 cars and get everyone set up with audio and ready for the film, so we ask you to commit to an advance arrival time when you book your ticket. Everyone will see the screen, but those in the earlier slots will be positioned at the front of their car grouping.

Anyone arriving outside of the allocated time will not be permitted into the event so please join us early to avoid disappointment.

How will I know where to park?

Our parking team will show you where to park when you arrive. Please note that cars will be allocated a parking space based on size, with bigger vehicles positioned towards the back.

Can I get out of my car?

Once parked, you will be able to get out of your car to visit the toilets and get food and drink when it is safe to do so. Please follow the instructions given by the parking team who might ask you to remain in your car until they have parked cars in your area.

Will you be serving food?

There will be street food, snacks and hot drinks onsite. We will share more information closer to the event. You are welcome to bring your own food into the event too (we love a car snack). But please remember to take your rubbish away with you after the event.

Can I bring alcohol?

Due to the nature of this drive-in event, there will be no alcohol available to purchase and we ask you not to bring alcohol to this event.

How many people can I bring in my car?

The ticket price includes admission for one car into the event space. Please consider sight lines, as those sitting behind others (i.e. in the back of the car) will not have as clear a line of sight of the screen, as those sitting in the front. You may need to adjust your position so you are not obstructed by those sitting in the front. We encourage you to be mindful of this when deciding how many people to include in one car.

Can I bring a dog or another pet with me?

Guide dogs are permitted at this event but please leave other pets at home.

Do I need to remain in my car during the screening?

Please remain in your vehicle during the screening. There are toilets on site, food and drink available to buy, and a smoking area – please be aware of other cars moving while you are outside your vehicle, particularly at the start of the event when cars are being parked.

What if I need help from a member of staff?

If you need assistance during the event, including first aid, please call the number on the flyer that you receive on arrival and a member of staff will help you.

Can I leave my car engine switched on during the event?

We ask that all vehicle engines are switched off once they are parked at the event. We also ask that you turn your exterior and interior lights off once the film starts.

We appreciate that it may get cold, so you can switch your engines on to de-steam your windows, but please only do so if necessary and turn your lights off as you do this (we suggest checking how to do this for your vehicle type before attending the event).

We recommend opening a window to help prevent your windows from steaming up, but make sure that you wrap up warm and bring blankets, cushions and hot water bottles with you. It might also be useful to bring a cloth so you can wipe condensation from your windscreen.

Can I leave my car lights on during the event?

We ask that you turn your exterior and interior car lights off once the film has started, so as not to cause a distraction for others. Again, we’d advise checking how to turn off your lights, before arriving.

Is there a minimum age for my event?

Each film has a different age restriction as set by the BBFC (British Board of film Classification). It is against the law for us to permit anyone under the certified age for a film into the event.

The age restriction is stated on the ticket booking pages for each event.

We may ask for photographic ID if you or anyone in your group looks under the certified age for your chosen film. We reserve the right to refuse entry if you are unable to present valid proof of identity.

The certified age for our events may differ from the copies of films you own at home, please always check before booking.

All guests aged under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+.

How will I listen to the film?

We will provide every car with a wireless speaker on arrival. All you have to do is switch it on to enjoy the pre film playlist and film. If you have any problems with the speaker, please call the number on the flyer and a member of staff will come to your car to help. We will collect the speakers from you on exit.

Can I talk during the screening?

We politely ask you not to talk loudly with car windows open, so as not to disturb other guests. We reserve the right to remove cars from the event who continually disturb others.

What if it is raining?

The screening will take place come rain or shine. In the unlikely event that weather conditions present a danger to attendees and staff, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and we may need to refund or reschedule the event.

What if I am a wheelchair user?

This event is accessible to wheelchair users. If you are a wheelchair user, please email us on [email protected] so that we can find out the layout of your vehicle and allocate you a suitable space to view the film and access facilities.

How long will it take to leave the site?

Our parking team will safely direct you off site and we anticipate this will take around 30 minutes.

Will there be toilet facilities?

Yes, there will be Portaloos and an accessible toilet at these events.

Will this film have subtitles?

Yes! All screenings at the drive in will have English subtitles.

Please see the event page for each film for more information.

If you would like to see subtitles on your own device, there are third party apps like Subtitles Viewer that allow you to download and view the film’s subtitles onto your device.

Will this film have audio description?

Please check the film description to see if Audio Description is available for your chosen film. You don’t need to let us know in advance if you require this, just flip a switch on the speakers for Audio Description for the whole car.
