Bradford Culture Company (BCC), operating as Bradford 2025, is seeking to appoint an experienced and qualified partner to deliver our sustainability support, consultancy and reporting – and help us to be the most sustainable UK City of Culture to date.

The proposed contract will run from April 2024 to April 2026. BCC would like to invite interested providers to tender for this business.

Providers must meet BCCs procurement objectives:

  • To ensure that procurement activities reflect BCC’s approach to transparency, sustainability, value for money, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • To ensure BCC’s commitment to the communities of Bradford is reflected in the procurement process.
  • To ensure BCC’s duty to its funders to deliver the best value for money.
  • To ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Specification:

  • To build on BCC’s Sustainability Framework.
  • To embed a culture of sustainability across all activities and in every department.
  • To advise and scope sustainable solutions to deliver each project.
  • To align activities to meet accreditation schemes where appropriate.
  • To assist BCC in reporting progress on sustainability against our action plan, key metrics and targets.
  • To monitor and report on the environmental impact of events and activities.
  • To implement a waste reduction approach to all activities.

Anticipated budget & timescale

We are expecting proposals for this work to be up to £60,000 over the length of the contract. The time frame is from mid April 2024, with the work to be completed by 31 December 2025 and all information, reports and evaluations to be completed by 31 March 2026 (with additional flexibility, as some evaluation work may take place beyond 31 March 2026 but is included in the fee).
