This team of teachers and educators from across Bradford District are working alongside the Bradford 2025 team to make sure that our Cultural Learning offer is accessible and inclusive.

Their aim is to support future arts and cultural opportunities available to children and young people from across Bradford District beyond 2025.

Lynda Salthouse

Lynda Salthouse is a Primary School Teacher in Bradford and Senior Mental Health Lead who is passionate about raising aspirations. A mum to two amazing young adults, she is a season ticket holder at Bradford City, enjoys live music and theatre and is excited to see what Bradford 2025 brings to our diverse city.

Tobias (Toby) Hammond

Toby Hammond is an accomplished Teacher with over six years’ experience, specialising in Early Years. Passionate about supporting diverse communities, he’s worked with PVI nurseries, schools and the Department for Education. Additionally, he serves as the County Youth Commissioner for West Yorkshire Scouts and contributes to teacher training with Best Practice Network and Bradford Birth to 19.

Hayley Sutcliffe-Glazer

Hayley Sutcliffe Glazer is a history teacher with nearly 20 years’ experience, currently serving as head of sixth form at a Bradford school. She is passionate about local history and dedicated to celebrating the diverse influences that have shaped Bradford over the centuries.

Jennie Snowden

Jennie Snowdon grew up in Bradford and is currently working in a Primary School in the heart of Bradford. She is passionate about driving positive change, ensuring equality and inclusion for all. She believes with dedication and focus we can develop Bradford’s offer for its citizens and achieve the very best opportunities and outcomes for all.

Mariam Ansar

Mariam Ansar is a Bradford-born teacher and writer with a passion for literature and enrichment opportunities for young people. A graduate of the University of Cambridge, she’s worked in the journalism sector writing features for Dazed, VICE, Teen Vogue, and others. Her debut novel was published in 2023 and centres on the voices of young people in Yorkshire.

Tanya Lucas

Tanya Lucas teaches at Bradford College, over the years she’s taught English and maths to students with a range of ages, abilities, backgrounds and SEN needs. She’s a mum to two teenagers which brings its own rewards and challenges. She’s also passionate about human and animal rights.

Tom Howell

Tom Howell is a Head of Music and Arts Co-Ordinator in Bradford and has worked in arts education for almost 20 years. He is passionate about the impact that the arts and cultural education can have on young people from all backgrounds and is a strong advocate that cultural learning and creativity are important parts of young people’s lives.

Milly Lynch

Milly Lynch is the Vice Principal at Dixons Marchbank Primary. She has worked in the BD3 area for about 15 years and has loved every minute of it! Working with the amazing younger generation has been the outstanding highlight of her career so far.

Andrea Goodrum

Bradford-born Andrea Goodrum has worked as an Art teacher for the past 20 years at a high school in Leeds then here in Bradford for the last two. She currently teaches Art to neurodiverse young people, aged 16-25. She is committed to art for everyone and excited to share her interests in her hometown during 2025.

Mo Akram

Mo Akram is a Secondary Teacher of Mathematics and has experience working with people of different ages, backgrounds and cultures. He was born and raised in Bradford and loves what the city has to offer. Mo is excited to contribute toward the City of Culture 2025!

Aleks Atanaskovic

Aleks Atanaskovic is a SENDCO and Inclusion Lead at Lilycroft Primary. His particular interest is in neurodiversity. Aleks has worked in Bradford schools for many years and has a first-hand experience of working with, supporting, learning from and growing with Bradford’s amazing communities.

Gurjit Lalli

Gurjit Lalli is an English Additional Language lead with a background of 32 years in Secondary Education working with Refugee/ Asylum seekers and New to English Learners. She works in an Academy in the BD4 area. Gurjit is committed to ensuring all learners achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally regardless of their disrupted educational journey.

Jimmy Rotheram

Jimmy’s work at Feversham Primary Academy in Bradford has garnered interest from educators across the world. He has designed curricula for Cambridge International Schools, the Benedetti Foundation and the Ambition Institute. He advised on the Model Music Curriculum and National Plan and sits on the advisory boards of several key organisations in music education. He regularly writes for Teach Primary and Music Teacher magazines and his book Teaching Primary Music is due to be published by Bloomsbury in 2025.

Claire Grace

Claire Grace has been a teacher for 30 years and is currently Assistant Principal at Barkerend Primary Leadership Academy with responsibility for Curriculum Enhancement and Careers. She is musically trained and plays piano, flute, and saxophone. She has played in orchestras, wind bands and an 80s cover band in her time! She is looking forward to working with the group to provide as many cultural opportunities as possible for the children of Bradford.

Victoria Clough

Victoria Clough is Head of School at Co-op Academy Southfield, a large secondary special school. She has worked with young people with severe and profound learning disabilities for 25 years and is passionate about everyone having real and meaningful opportunities to participate in their communities.
