Inspired by David Hockney, we're encouraging everyone to draw in 2025.
But it's not always easy to pick up a pencil - so we caught up with Alison from The Art Doctors to learn a new technique, and to find out how drawing is about making a mark on the page (not about achieving perfection).
Alison McIntyre from @art_doctors knows a thing or two about bringing creativity into the everyday.
Here, Alison encourages us to shift our focus away from perfection and rediscover the joy of drawing, much like we did as children, with the technique of ‘Taking a line for a walk’.
This technique invites you to observe the world around you and let your hand move freely, interpreting everything in your own unique way.
So, grab your pencil, take a moment to look around you, and let your line take a walk! ✍🏼🚶
