February’s DRAW! gallery

Take a look back at some of your DRAW! submissions in February, hand-picked by artist Adébayo Bolaji.

Published: March 12, 2025

DRAW! is a nationwide project to get everyone drawing supported by David Hockney.

In February, Adébayo Bolaji encouraged us all to draw a portrait or self-portrait. Check out some of the drawings you sent in, shortlisted by Bolaji.

'Draw a portrait'

In February artist Adébayo Bolaji inspired us all to draw a portrait or self portrait. Inviting us to capture the essence of those around us, or to share an insight into our own identity, Bolaji encouraged us to feel empowered in expressing what we feel and to share the way we see the world.

And your submissions certainly didn’t disappoint! No two portraits were the same, varying in drawing styles, materials, and the subjects chosen.

We received an incredible number of submissions, and Adébayo himself has carefully reviewed each one. He’s handpicked some of his personal favourites to showcase here.
