Bradford Glow: Art activities
Get creative with the Bradford 2025 brand and give an iconic Bradford building or person their own ‘Bradford Glow’.
The first activity in this pack gives young people the opportunity to give an iconic Bradford building or person a ‘Bradford Glow’ by making a piece of cellophane window art. Before you begin, show the group the Bradford Glow PowerPoint slides, available when you download this activity park, so they know why pink, green and yellow were chosen.
In the second activity, young people can choose a news article about Bradford from the past and use it as a canvas for their depiction of a Bradford landmark. It works well if the article and the painting they produce are linked. For example, the article could be about Lister Mills opening, while their artwork could be a representation of what it looks like now.
It’s great if you can visit places in person beforehand, but showing a selection of photos in your session would also work. You can use the Bradford 2025 PowerPoint slides to explain the brand colours.
