Educator CPD event: Design your own heritage walk
Part of Bradford on Foot
- Date: Tuesday 1 July, 4-6pm
- Location: Sue Belcher Community Centre, Keighley, BD22 7AE
An after-school CPD event for KS1 and KS2 educators who wish to support learners to discover their natural and built heritage through exploring and mapping their surroundings.
This CPD event will help schools to understand more about local heritage and equip them with skills and ideas to lead a class activity to design a unique heritage walk from their school. With the help of Julie Edwards from Historic England and Annie Berrington from Get Out More CIC, participants will examine the importance of local built and natural heritage, learn how to uncover the historic treasures of their area and be inspired with engaging outdoor activities they can safely deliver with their pupils.
