The Costume Assistant will support the Costume Supervisor in organising the on-site costume workroom and be involved in sourcing costumes, buying accessories and trimmings.

Other duties may include:

• Assisting with costume fittings
• Carrying out alterations
• Keeping accurate records
• Dressing performers
• Dealing with laundry and maintenance of costumes

The costume assistant should have experience of using a domestic sewing machine and be able to carry out clothing alterations confidently and accurately. There will be a need to be able to work flexibly over irregular hours, and good communication skills are essential to be able to liaise with cast and members of the production crew.
