Wild Uplands end of summer party
A day of walks, talks, exhibitions and more.
Join us as part of National Heritage Open Days to celebrate Wild Uplands final month with an exhibition of artwork by local school children, drop-in creative workshops, henna art, heritage tours and talks and Tai Chi on the moors.
There’s lots to do for all the family at the Wild Uplands end of summer party! All activities will take place in St Michael & All Angels Church and Old School Room, regardless of the days weather conditions.
Schedule
- 11.00-3.30: Drop in family artist-led workshops and henna art at St Michaels and All Angels Church and Bronte Parsonage schoolroom
- 11.00: Biodiversity tour of Penistone Hill. Ticketed/ some walk ups available
- 11.00/12.00/13.30/14.30: Paint a wild uplands inspired pot at Cobbles and Clay classroom. Ticketed/ some walk ups available
- 12.30: Tai Chi on the moors with Yorkshire Tai Chi. Ticketed/ some walk ups available
- 14.00: Behind the Scenes Tour of Wild Uplands sculptures with BD25. Drop-in!
All day:
- An exhibition of artwork by local primary schools
- Moors for the Future Partnership Bogtastic Van playful immersive experience for kids.
at Dimples Lane Car Park - Family map trail
A minibus shuttle will also run throughout the day taking people from the parsonage car park to the start of the sculpture trail.
