A special interactive tour and workshop session, especially for home educated learners.

Event Details
Date 19 Dec 2025
Times 10am
Location Cartwright Hall Art Gallery
Ages 6-11 year olds

Join us for a special interactive tour and workshop session, especially for home educated learners, that will use contemporary art as a medium to help your young people explore different ways of seeing.

The group will enjoy a facilitated tour of the Turner Prize Galleries in which they will be supported to explore the galleries and artworks in different ways through looking, discussing, drawing, and even movement.

After the tour, the group will take part in a dynamic workshop designed to link with key works of art in the Turner Prize. Using ideas and inspiration gathered in the galleries, learners will create their own process-based artworks to take home.

The session will run as follows:

  • 10am – Recommended Arrival
  • 10.15am – Session Begins
  • 10.30-11.30am – Facilitated Tour of the Turner Prize
  • 11.30am-12.30pm – Creative Workshop
