The Story Garden – Summer Reading Challenge

Come to a creative making session with the Our Patch team in your local library and be an artist as well as a reader.

This Summer, the Our Patch team are bringing creative activities to libraries across Bradford to encourage and support families taking part in this year's Summer Reading Challenge, The Story Garden.

Bradford South

Monday 21 July, 10am – 1pm
Holmewood Library

Tuesday 22 July, 10am – 11.40am & 12.20pm – 2pm
Wyke Library 

Join artist Emily Parkin for some nature based crafty activities. You will use dried flower stems to learn natural twining, and combine other art techniques using natural materials and found objects. Get creative and experiment!

All materials are included, and you can take home whatever you make. Suitable for kids (and adults) of all ages!

Gelli Printing Workshop – Join artist Claire Rookes on a Creative Adventure in Nature! Gelli printing is a fun technique using a soft gel plate to create textured, layered prints. Press leaves and natural materials onto the plate with vibrant inks to make beautiful artwork—exploring the magical connection between books and the outdoors!
All materials are included, and you can take home whatever you make. Suitable for kids (and adults) of all ages!
