Sunday at The Beacon brings some serious Summer Sounds to The Beacon for our boutique music festival.

Together with Serious, we’ve brought together a packed line-up of artists whose music knows no boundaries – from singer-songwriters, poets and soul divas to DJs, producers and big bands who mix afrobeat, drum ’n’ bass, jazz and much more. It’s the perfect soundtrack to a summer Sunday in Bradford.

Summer Sounds Sunday features:

  • Nitin Sawhney, multi-award-winning musician, composer and producer
  • Poppy Ajudha, ace singer-songwriter from South London by way of Saint Lucia
  • Joshua Idehen, spoken word artist, musician and collaborator with the likes of Sons of Kemet
  • Summer Pearl, soul singer and superstar-in-waiting
  • Sarathy Korwar, drummer, composer, producer and bandleader, fusing jazz, electronics, Indian folk and classical influences
  • TC & the Groove Family, the mighty Leeds 10-piece blending afrobeat, breakbeat, highlife and hip hop
  • Kenzo Jae, Bradford-born singer and rapper mixing indie and punk with old school hip hop
  • TAWIAH, alternative-soul singer and songwriter, who has collaborated with the likes of Devonte Hynes, Kindness, Mark Ronson, Cinematic Orchestra and Kano
  • Yasmeen, Jordan-born, Leeds-based DJ, sound artist and cultural producer
  • Harry Rook, playing soulful selections with no judgement of styles or forms
  • DJ Lubi, leading light in salsa and Latin jazz

Step into the pulse of West Africa and experience the electrfying energy of Highlife Drumming! Expect hands-on drumming and an immersive musical experience, whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned drummer.
Dancing to Jazz – Feel the Music, Find Your Groove with Masumi Endo and DJ Lubi

A dynamic dance session inspired by UK jazz dance and global street styles. Explore rhythm, melody, and musical connection through movement.

Open to all levels—no experience needed. So come along, let the music move you.

Tickets for the main Beacon stage are just £15 for one day or £25 for the full weekend – and capacity is strictly limited. entry to the festival gardens including street food stalls, DJ sets and creative workshops is completely free ( no tickets required, just come along & enjoy the vibes).
