STRIKE: Poetry Drop-In Workshops

Nabeela Ahmed

Free, family-friendly poetry workshops at Manningham Library.

As part of STRIKE – a bold celebration of the radical women who have shaped modern Bradford – we invited you to join poet and facilitator Nabeela Ahmed for free, family-friendly poetry workshops at Manningham Library.

These drop-in sessions invited you to explore words, identity, and heritage while celebrating the radical women who shaped modern Bradford.

These poetry workshops were part of STRIKE, a dynamic series of community events that culminated in three nights of large-scale light, sound, and projection shows in Manningham, alongside an exhibition highlighting the community and school developed through the STRIKE project!

About STRIKE

STRIKE was a celebration of the radical women who made modern Bradford.

This major work used light, sound and projection to explore a landmark moment in the history of Bradford and the modern labour movement – and spotlight the fearless women who made it happen.
