Melter
Robbie Thomson
We uncovered a series of encounters with animatronic beings born into late capitalism.
Synanthrope: an undomesticated organism adapted to living in human environments.
Melter was a series of encounters with animatronic beings born into late capitalism. How do they relate to the world around them and the humans that they share their space with? What did their bodies and voices tell us about their conditions?
Darkly humorous and confrontational, these synthetic organisms inhabit a shadow world where waste, society and environment find new meanings and illogical behaviours occupy their daily routines.
