Little Foodies & Bradford South Asian Festival

Join us for some very special foodie fun.

Event Details
Date 30 Aug 2025
Times 11:30am-3pm
Location The Beacon - Lister Park
Ages All ages
Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult

Shadmanny is a word meaning celebration in Urdu and Hindi — a word that especially evokes the joy, colour, music, and feasting of South Asian wedding culture.

It’s also the theme for this year’s Bradford South Asian Festival, and we’re bringing it to life through food, fun, and flavour.

In true shaadi/wedding spirit, we’ll be rolling, sprinkling, and decorating our way through some sweet and savoury treats that capture the colours, aromas, and excitement of a joyful wedding feast.

On the menu of fun:

  • Hands-on, child-friendly cooking activities
  • Recipes inspired by South Asian celebratory foods
  • Playful decorations, fragrant spices, and sensory delights
  • A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for all ages
  • Take-home creations (or eat as you go!)

Dress code: Big smiles and a dash of curiosity
