Lou Sumray
Free family-friendly workshops in Wibsey Park with artist Lou Sumray.
Bradford-based artist Lou Sumray invited us to join her at The Beacon in Wibsey Park to get creative – inspired by Bradford’s open spaces.
We invited you to pick up a pen and make your mark on one of Lou’s six-foot-tall art screens – you provided the inspiration, we provided the pens.
Participants at this workshop decorated their very own cardboard Wibsey geese and take them home after the workshop.
Everyone was welcome at these family-friendly workshops. Admission was free and we provided all the pens, paints and materials you needed to get creative.
Lou ran more art-making sessions in 2025, when The Beacon made its stops in Bowling Park, Cliffe Castle Park and Lister Park – and at the end of the year, we brought together the art screens from all four locations to make one large Beacon artwork!
