Khooghi

We invited everyont to join us on a journey as Kauser wove together her history with the life and songs of a Pakistani folk legend.

Meet Khooghi a 153 year old dove! Born in Azad Kashmir during the British Empire, now living her best life in Bradford.

Kauser’s two daughters are keener on Capital FM than their mum’s Punjabi music. Sharing her own story, together with the life and songs of Punjabi folk legend, Alam Lohar, Kauser brings them, and us, on a journey through the music she loves, and the culture she’s proud of.

Khooghi a story from the Saif ul Malook written by Mian Muhammad Bakhsh retold in English and Pahari, brought to life in a toy theatre with over 30 funny and fabulous puppet characters. Khooghi is a story of Hope & Faith in the face of adversity.
