Intercultured Festival: Exploring Heritage

We explored the traditions of weaving, knitting and crochet.

Bradford City Library hosted another event from Intercultured Festival, aimed at building bridges with communities.

A Bradford 2025 Creative Community Award project.

About the project

We explored the traditions of  weaving, knitting and crochet. Learned about the traditions of Mehndi, explored textiles art, crochet and visual arts.

Workshops included:

About the artist

In its fifth year, Intercultured Festival celebrates the multilayers of cultures and communities that make up our incredible city. Hear and learn from global majority voices, and celebrate Bradford as a creative home for all.

Intercultured Festival is led by experienced Bradford artist and producer, Mussarat Rahman, along with senior producer Charlotte The Magpie.
