Impact Gamers

An interactive showcase of games made by young Bradford designers.

Show 7 – One Button Theme.

Impact Gamers and the Gaming Guru Grandpa brought this free family fun interactive game show as they looked through games designed by young people from across Bradford for the 2025 City of Culture year.

A Bradford 2025 Creative Community Fund project.

About the event

Local game-making community group Impact Gamers worked with children from across Bradford to make brand new games inspired by the city. Each area of Bradford had its own game, which were playable at specially introduced arcade machines at The Broadway shopping centre.

This event was a showcase of these games and an epic participation day, where audience members tested the games for themselves on a cinema screen and competed for prizes. The show featured:

  • A closer look at how the games were designed
  • Tips and tricks for game creation
  • The story of how Impact Gamers built their arcade machines
  • Audience members battling it out in games on stage and on the big Pictureville screen

This event was perfect for families with young gamers wanting to find our more about games design, or want the chance to play and win prizes on a big stage!
