Bradford Digital Creatives is a project inviting young people to share stories about their pasts, their presents and their futures in a variety of artforms – guided by workshops with local and international digital artists.

Bradford Digital Creatives is designed to expand creative education and cultural participation, improve health and wellbeing – and help develop new digital talent in Bradford, preparing young people for their future working lives.

More than 1,200 teenagers from will take part in the pilot project, working with artforms including audio storytelling, 360º video, games design and projection mapping. It will culminate in a festival premiering the new artworks, due to take place in summer 2025.

The results of Bradford Digital Creatives will inform research into the impact of creativity on young people’s lives, carried out by Born in Bradford as part of the world’s largest study of adolescent health and wellbeing. The project is also helping to build teachers’ digital skills and confidence, complement the arts and culture curriculum in schools, and develop mutually beneficial relationships between cultural and educational communities in Bradford.
