Code of Conduct
Read our Code of Conduct for staff, volunteers, customers and the public.
At Bradford 2025, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, welcoming and respectful environment for everyone, including our staff, volunteers, customers and the public. This Code of Conduct highlights the behaviours and mutual respect expected across all interactions, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all parties involved.
Mutual Respect in Communication
We ask everyone – customers, the general public, staff and volunteers alike—to communicate in a polite and respectful manner. Abusive, aggressive or discriminatory language is not acceptable, regardless of the context. Our team is committed to addressing inquiries thoroughly and efficiently and appreciates patience from customers and the public. In turn, we expect our staff and volunteers to uphold the same courteous and responsive approach to every interaction.
Appropriate Behaviour and Personal Boundaries
We uphold a zero-tolerance policy for any threatening, harassing or intimidating behaviour, whether it’s verbal, physical or digital. This applies to both customers and staff. Respecting personal boundaries is a priority in all in-person interactions. Disruptive or hostile actions from any party will result in termination of the interaction and may lead to further consequences, including removal from the venue or organisation-related events. In the case of staff employed by Bradford 2025, this may result in disciplinary action.
Constructive Feedback and Issue Resolution
Feedback and constructive suggestions are encouraged from everyone to continuously improve our overall experience. We ask that feedback be shared through our official channels, in a respectful and considerate manner. In the first instance, please email [email protected]. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to addressing and resolving issues, and we encourage customers and the public to allow them the opportunity to do so before escalating concerns.
Adherence to Policies and Safety Measures
All members of our community, whether staff, volunteers, customers or the public, are expected to comply with posted policies, including safety and accessibility guidelines. Staff may provide instructions to support a safe and efficient environment, and we ask that these requests be respected to ensure a comfortable space for everyone. Similarly, we expect our team to model adherence to these standards and to facilitate a positive experience for all.
Zero Tolerance for Abuse
Bradford 2025 enforces a zero-tolerance policy on abusive behaviour, with mutual accountability. Any actions that jeopardise the well-being of our community members, including staff, volunteers, customers, or the public, will be met with appropriate measures, which may include removal from the venue, denial of service, or escalation to law enforcement if necessary. In the case of staff employed by Bradford 2025, this may result in disciplinary action.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Disregard for this Community Code of Conduct may lead to denied access to services, removal from premises, or a permanent ban from Bradford 2025 events. This applies to all community members, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
