Creative Careers Festival: Quiet Hour
People joined us for a quiet hour designed with inclusivity and comfort in mind to ensure that everyone could attend the Creative Careers Festival!
Created by young people for young people, the Creative Careers Festival provided young people with insight, inspiration and exclusive access to the cultural arts sector.
We understood that visiting a new space could be challenging. From 10am–11am, guests joined us for a quiet hour designed with inclusivity and comfort in mind to ensure that anyone could attend the Creative Careers Festival.
During the quiet hour, guided tours of Bradford Live were available to anyone who wanted to explore the space before workshops, mentoring and performances began. An allocated quiet space was also available throughout the day.
The day provided opportunities for young people to chat to employers about creative careers across various sectors, as well as the chance to discover opportunities to explore creative courses in further education across the North.
It was a chance to spend the day in one of Bradford’s newest performance venues, Bradford Live!
What was available during Quiet Hour?
- Opportunity for relaxed conversations with stall holders
- A sensory friendly introduction into the creative arts industry
- Guided tours of the venue
- Allocated quiet space available throughout the day
“Creating spaces to bring young people in the creative industry together is so important. This is why we have created the Creative Careers Festival in the heart of Bradford, so that creatives from Bradford District and beyond can connect and learn from each other!” ”
