Volunteering
We all know that Bradford’s greatest asset is its people — our volunteers prove that to the world in the most inspiring way.
During Bradford 2025, we brought together an extraordinary community of volunteers who helped deliver an unforgettable year of culture — and their impact has been remarkable.
More than 2,700 people have contributed over 30,000 volunteer hours, with representation from every ward in the district.
Volunteers have supported events and activities across the district — acting as Bradford ambassadors, welcoming audiences, supporting artists, guiding visitors and helping behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Their generosity, energy and commitment shaped the story of Bradford 2025.
Volunteering today
Our volunteers have played — and continue to play — a crucial part in the success of Bradford 2025. They’ve experienced the programme from the inside, become part of a vibrant community of new friends, and helped create cultural moments that will be remembered long into the future.
We have supported our volunteer team with full role-specific training as well as the opportunity to achieve an accredited City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification in Customer Service. Travel and food expenses are covered for every shift, ensuring everyone can take part and feel valued.
Although we aren’t taking new applications for volunteers at the moment, existing volunteers can sign in to Rosterfy, our Volunteer Portal, below.
