This audio flyer is for a show that is part of Bradford 2025 UK city of culture. Ride tells the powerful story of a gypsy family’s fight to survive in a world that keeps pushing back against them and is set on the outskirts of Bradford. Its world premiere is taking place at TFD Centre in Homewood, BD four on Friday the 19th of September, at 7:30pm The show follows the family’s journey as they fight to keep their community’s heritage alive through generations, but with more barriers to maintaining their way of life, follow their story through this amazing new dance rap and theatre show as they adapt to challenges, win small victories and fight to hold on to their culture. Rapper big deli and a cast of Bradford rappers star in this electrifying brand new show rooted in real life stories.
Ride is created with gypsy and traveller communities and the people of BD four. The show is a collaboration between spin arts and Leeds. Gypsy and traveller exchange Leeds gate and their members, directed by Southpaw Dance Company. Shows are on the 19th of September at 7:30pm on the 20th of September at 1:30pm and 6:30pm with the 130 show being audio described, and the 630 show being BSL interpreted. The address is TFD centre, Homewood, BD, 4o, B, H. Tickets cost five pounds unless you live in the local area of BD four, and then they’re two pounds 50.
