Old bird Theatre presents otherhood, a story of radical love and found family.
A grieving widow and a queer millennial discover the power of finding family in unexpected places. This poignant and funny new play explores the heartaches and joys of ageing child free, an immersive theatre experience and soundscape mixed with real life stories. Otherhood switches between the here and now and an audio storytelling realm where we travel in time to an imagined, fantastical Bradford children or no children. We all matter, and we all leave a meaningful mark.
The show runs on dates between the 23rd of September and the 16th of October at the following venues. Tuesday, the 23rd of September at the Beacon at Lister Park. This show is BSL interpreted. Friday, the 26th of September at Thornton Community Centre. Saturday, the 27th of September at Caroline Street Social Club. Friday, the third of October at Keighley creative Saturday, the fourth of October at Mind the Gap and there’ll be a touch tour at 6pm and Thursday the 16th of October at Bradford Arts Centre.
All performances have embedded audio description and start at 7:30pm it’s recommended for ages 14 upwards. Tickets cost 10 pounds.
