Deadline: proposals must be submitted by midnight, Friday 4 October 2024

We’re pleased to be partnering with Historic England, who have opened their latest round of History in the Making grants exclusively for Bradford. They will be funding around 4 new community group led projects across the district, up to £15,000 each, to coincide with our year as UK City of Culture.

History in the Making is a programme, aimed at underrepresented young people (aged 13-25), to research, discover and mark local histories with a place marker that celebrates and shares these stories with the whole community. Through exploring local identity and immersion in local stories, the programme aims to give young people a sense of belonging and has youth voice at its heart.

Historic England will run an applicant support session for History in the Making (Bradford) on 19 September from 4.30pm to 5.15pm. Find out how to join this session on their website.
