The world’s most exciting visual arts prize. In Bradford for the first time.
Exhibition open now
The annual Turner Prize showcases and celebrates the most exciting new developments in British art. In the year the UK celebrates the 250th anniversary of JMW Turner’s birth, the Turner Prize heads to Bradford.
The shortlisted artists – Nnena Kalu, Rene Matić, Mohammed Sami and Zadie Xa – were announced on 23 April 2025, 250 years to the day since the birth of Turner. Their work features in the annual Turner Prize exhibition, which takes place at Cartwright Hall Art Gallery.
Nnena Kalu was announced as the winner of the Turner Prize 2025 in Bradford on 9 December 2025.
Gallery 4 has mirrored flooring throughout, which is highly reflective. We recommend that visitors wear trousers. You will be asked to remove your shoes or wear shoe protectors on this surface.
Bag policy
We will be carrying out bag searches at the entrances to the exhibition. Please do not bring large or bulky bags into the gallery. There is a free cloakroom available for luggage or large bags outside the gallery at the box office.
A beautifully installed show of work by four very different artists and an intriguing snapshot of what’s going on in contemporary art.”
