Storm Gathering brings together voices from across Bradford District for an urgent and powerful reflection on climate change.

This special event is the conclusion of Ark Bradford, a social engagement project that has invited people across the district to consider two key questions: What form will the flood take? And how will we build our ark?

Tonight’s event features a range of voices from across society – some speaking live, others heard via recordings captured during Ark Bradford’s previous events. Together, they’ll consider what the climate crisis could mean for us all: what we’re running from, and where we might be heading in the years to come.

Join artists, community groups, and neighbours from across the city as we share food, stories, and an ambient soundscape created by Flash Cassette featuring voices from Bradford. The event will be broadcast in partnership with BCB Radio, sharing the experience with listeners across the city. Food will be provided by Bradford South Asian Festival.

When the flood comes, what will you take with you – and what will you leave behind? Consider these questions and more at The Beacon in Lister Park.

Ark Bradford

Ark Bradford is a district-wide conversation about climate, community, and the stories we carry. Commissioned for Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, the project gathers voices from across the district to ask: what form does the flood take, and how will we build our ark?

Ark Bradford is a collaborative project led by Moot Works and Sheffield Hallam University in partnership with Bradford Producing Hub, SAIL and Bradford Community Organisations and Artists. For more information, visit ark-bradford.org.
