From Bradford to the world: this event celebrates the launch of a programme that puts poetry at the heart of everyday experience in schools across England.

Join the UK’s Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin and special guests, including short performances by young poets from the hugely successful West Yorkshire Young Poet Laureate pilot programme.

Created by National Poetry Centre in partnership with National Literacy Trust, and supported by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, the programme provides children and young people with new opportunities to explore and discover poetry in their schools and communities.
