The Beacon – Wibsey Park

Easter Sunday Fun

Christians Together in Wibsey and Buttershaw/Shelf

Christians from across Wibsey and Buttershaw/Shelf joined us to mark one of the most important days in the church calendar.

Easter Sunday at the Beacon in Wibsey Park was marked with this community event hosted by Christians Together in Wibsey and Buttershaw/Shelf, a collective of churches from different Christian traditions. People of all faiths and none were welcome at this family-friendly celebration.

There were fun games and creative activities galore to celebrate Easter, including egg-and-spoon races, an Easter egg hunt and much more. Audiences also had the opportunity to learn about different Christian traditions and the importance of the Easter story. The event ended with a short celebration service suitable for all ages, to mark this very special day in the Christian calendar.
