At Bradford 2025, our purpose is to make the people who live here proud to ‘be Bradford’ and to make everyone outside Bradford want to be here.
We are bringing the people of Bradford together for an incredible year and it is our mission to deliver the most thrilling, inclusive and successful UK City of Culture yet. We will also build on the experience of previous Cities of Culture and go on to share our learning with new Cities of Culture.
We want Bradford to be known for being a district where people come to find exceptional art; a place that values creativity and opportunity with a lively and diverse cultural sector; and in which residents are proud of where they live, enjoy and benefit from being part of a connected and dynamic place.
The Bradford 2025 Story of Change
The Bradford 2025 Story of Change has been designed to understand the impact that Bradford 2025 will make to the people and places of Bradford District.
Our Story of Change measures the experiences of people taking part in Bradford 2025 events, it looks at feelings of local pride, community connectedness, volunteer involvement and changes to visitor activity across the district. It explores how green spaces are being used in new ways, the difference Bradford 2025 is making to our local creative sector and the economic effects on local jobs and businesses.
This is being done through a range of methods including face-to-face interviews, online surveys, event attendance, case studies, group discussions and creative activities. These will provide the numbers, words, stories and pictures to help us understand the impact of Bradford 2025 and to share learning along the way.

The Bradford 2025 Evaluation Team is responsible for ensuring that data is collected from a broad spectrum of sources and working with a wide range of partners to provide evidence of the impacts of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture.
