A snapshot of the nation

Be part of an extraordinary nationwide photography project – and maybe see your face on screens, billboards, and posters.

Four Nations is a new project co-commissioned by Impressions Gallery and Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture. The project will capture portraits of the nation’s population to create a striking photographic record of the UK today – starting right here in Bradford District.

The portraits of Bradfordians will be shown in public places across Bradford District to coincide with our UK City of Culture programme launch in September 2024. Then in 2025, all photographs will go on display at Impressions Gallery in Bradford, Belfast Exposed, Ffotogallery in Cardiff and Street Level Photoworks in Glasgow.

Applications to take part will open later this year.
