Polyphonic People: Community Singing and the Politics of Care follows Creative Practitioner for Our Patch, Hannah Butterfield, in December 2025, to tell the story of four community music projects in Keighley.
Musical Stories is a travelling workshop for families and young people, bringing well-loved, illustrated stories to life through song and visual storytelling. In 2025, sessions took place at The Good Shepherd Centre, Haworth Primary School, The Rainbow Family Hub, and various locations for Keighley Town Council’s Play in Parks.
Sing for Health is an intergenerational, weekly music workshop based at The Good Shepherd Centre for local people and children from Our Lady of Victories Primary School.
GRATEFUL is a touring music and dance performance, made for new parents exploring post-natal mental health and access to support, co-created by Zoe Katsilerou and Hannah Butterfield.
The Keighley Chorus is a monthly, pop-up community music event in partnership with the Leeds & Bradford Piano Trail. The piano in Airedale Shopping Centre becomes a meeting point for this musical event, bringing together a wide range of voices to learn new songs, make friends, feel good, and raise the roof! Our Patch is working with community centres across the whole district and is funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund.
The project formed part of Our Patch, Bradford 2025’s programme dedicated to celebrating creativity in neighbourhoods across the district and supporting artists and producers to work directly with local communities.
