Visual Artist Lou shares their unique drawing technique, of drawing on and from your windows - part of DRAW! supported by David Hockney.
Inspired by David Hockney, we’re encouraging everyone to get creative and draw in 2025.
Lou Sumray is a Visual Artist based in Bradford and she uses drawing as a starting point for all her creative projects.
This exercise is designed to help you to break away from the intimidation of a blank piece of paper and instead take inspiration from what you can see from your kitchen window. And while you’re there… why not draw onto your kitchen window too? Just grab a dry wipe marker and give it a go!
Lou encourages you to think creatively and experiment – not just with what you’re drawing but where you’re drawing it.
