Epic Yorkshire

Look back on this series of iconic favourites and cinematic hidden gems, in this city-wide film season and screen celebration of Yorkshire for Bradford 2025.

Launching on Yorkshire Day 2025 (1 Aug), Epic Yorkshire showcased stories made and shaped by those who call this place home – from gritty urban dramas to romantic windswept landscapes.

Alongside a packed programme at Pictureville, we enjoyed special screenings and experiences in collaboration with brilliant local partners, alongside beloved Yorkshire brands. There were local flavours, unique venues, and a cinematic celebration of the people and places that make Yorkshire one of a kind.

Yorkshire Film Archive: Social Cinema[Free Screening]

The Yorkshire and North East Film Archive presented a programme of short films exploring the social and political issues that resonate with our past and future.

The screening evoked a rollercoaster of emotions: sometimes sad but also filled with hope as we ask questions about ourselves, our communities, our society and what we can learn from the past.
