What's onGetting thereUseful info

Our year-round outdoor cinema series opens with a long weekend of Hollywood icons and Bollywood classics.

We’re bringing a monster screen to Cannon Mills this April for a varied programme of much-loved movies – all watched from the comfort of your own car. From Hollywood icons to Bollywood classics, all-action adventures to family favourites, our big screen has something for everyone. You bring the car, we’ll provide the popcorn… But be quick! Capacity is limited and each film is screening only once.

The Cannon Mills Drive-In is the first in Bradford 2025’s series of outdoor cinema spectaculars. We’re taking the magic of the movies to unexpected locations around Bradford District throughout the year, setting up screens for short-run cinema seasons. We’ll be announcing more details later this year – to be the first to know, sign up to our mailing list today.

“For this special Bradford 2025 Drive-In programme we wanted to bring you a mix of romantic, comedy, family friendly and action films. These four popular Bollywood films are perfect for a drive-in experience and provide a real variety in genre so there is something for everyone!

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is always my first choice when it comes to Drive In Cinema – an ideal film to watch with a group of friends or family, is a relatable coming-of-age story, with fantastic music and beautiful cinematography as the characters take a road trip through Spain. This film was made for an outdoor big screen!

Another family favourite sure to bring a tear to the eye is Bajrangi Bhaijaan with celebrated actor Salman Khan who sets off to unite a lost speech impaired girl with her family in Pakistan.

Jab We Met is a romantic comedy perfect for couples, groups of friends or to be enjoyed as a family, with relatable characters, fantastic music that will have you dancing in your car seats and a story that provides a twist to a typical Bollywood love story!

Amar Akbar Anthony is amongst the Bollywood all-time favourites and an absolute treat to be able to watch on a big screen! This 1970s film has a strong message on secularism with three brothers that get separated due to circumstances, one grows up as a Christian, one a Muslim and one Hindu, these much-loved characters are played by Amar (Vinod Khanna), Akbar (Rishi Kapoor) and Anthony (Amitabh Bachchan). Watch this film for over-the-top action, drama and unforgettable music!” – Amandeep Dhillon
