Bradford Live

Yorkshire Calling

We celebrated Yorkshire Day at Bradford Live.

To celebrate Yorkshire Day, Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra presented Yorkshire Calling.

The evening was a spectacular celebration of all things Yorkshire, featuring special guests including singer Aled Jones, celebrated poet Ian McMillan, plus Bantams legend Chris Kamara and the BBC’s Bantam of the Opera Choir.

It also welcomed Leeds-based international concert pianist Yuanfan Yang.

Under the baton of Ben Crick, Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra performed A Northern Score, the evening featured poems written and narrated by Ian McMillan, celebrating influential northerners through the ages, set to an original score written by Ben.

Singing with Aled again, it’s unbelievable!”
