Wild Uplands Family Launch Party
Join the family-fun at this launch party for Wild Uplands.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult
Wild Uplands is a major new open-air art installation in Penistone Hill Country Park, part of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture – and you’re invited to the launch party!
There’ll be lots to do at this family-friendly fun day: be among the first to complete the family activity trail, tune in to live Bhangra, Dhol and Brass music joining an outdoor procession with Punjabi Roots, and make your own sculpture to take home.
There will also be free facepainting and henna all inspired by the amazing artworks.
Schedule
- 11am-1pm and 1.30-3.30pm: Sculpture workshops, Facepainting and Henna
- 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2.30pm: Punjabi Roots live music performances (20 mins)
- All day: Family Activity Trail, Earth & Sky soundwalk

This family-friendly day is happening in venues across Haworth:
- Penistone Hill Country Park
- St Michael & All Angels Church, Haworth
Refreshments
There will be light refreshments available at Penistone Hill Country Park and there is a wonderful choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants in Haworth village.
Weather
In case of bad weather, all activities will be help in St Michael & All Angels Church and in Brontë Parsonage School Room.

Toilets
There will be Portaloos available at Penistone Hill Country Park car park and public toilets in Haworth village.
