Head to Victoria Hall this May bank holiday and experience Unseen, a new project from Ascendance premiering at Saltaire Arts Trail.

About this project

The project features a specially commissioned documentary film that captures the extraordinary journeys of people who dance, made with local filmmaker Pishdaad Modaressi. There will also be a community artwork on display, created in collaboration with artist Serena Nassini.

The project also includes:

  • A live opening performance by Ascendance – Saturday 24 May at 11am
  • Two special morning dance sessions for the over 50’s, suitable for all abilities – Sunday 25 May at 10 am & Monday 26 May at 10am
  • Sat 24 May 11am – 12pm Launch Event (Film Premiere, Exhibition and Dance Performance); Film Screenings every hour from 11am. Ends 4pm.
  • Sun 25 May 10am – 10.45am Dance Workshop (Over 50’s Seated & Standing Dance); Film Screenings every hour from 11am. Ends 4pm.
  • Mon 26 May 10am – 10.45am Dance Workshop (Over 50’s Seated & Standing Dance); Film Screenings every hour from 11am. Ends 4pm.

Ascendance is a creative charity, dedicated to health and well-being, offering dance classes and performance opportunities with their inclusive community company Fuse Dance Collective.
