This free, monthly get-together invites anyone who enjoys performing or listening to music. The Keighley Chorus sessions welcome any local people to come along and join in with some community singing.

These monthly drop-in events are held one Saturday per month between 3pm and 4pm round the piano in the Airedale Shopping Centre in Keighley. The sessions are led by creative practitioner, Hannah Butterfield, and musician and composer, Shane Durrant.

It’s free to join in, no experience is necessary and the sessions can be tailored to all abilities so everyone is welcome.

It’s not to be missed, as one participant put it, “I feel on top of the world!”

So, to all the unsung heroes of Keighley, we’d love to hear from you!

Our Patch

This project is funded by Our Patch.

Our Patch is a year-long arts programme across Bradford in 2025, inviting community groups and residents to design and take part in free workshops, activities and events in their local area. Led by local ‘Our Patch Producers’ alongside artists and makers, the project will bring people together through creative experiences ranging from painting and poetry to dancing, cooking and gardening. Taking place in community halls, libraries, faith spaces and social hubs across Bradford East, Bradford South, Bradford West, Keighley & Ilkley and Shipley, Our Patch celebrates local culture while helping people learn skills, build confidence and make new connections. This is Our Patch.

Our Patch is funded by The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and The National Lottery Community Fund. We extend our thanks to all players of the National Lottery.

A portrait photo of two best mates and performance/live art makers, Jess Murrain and Lua Bairstow. There is a small silver car with a Palestine sticker on its window, parked beside a road on the edge of the Baildon Moor in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Jess, a brown person with blonde and brown afro hair, is standing in front of the back of the car. Posed, looking directly at the camera. Wearing white Doc Martens, grey trousers with pink pinstripes, a sheer black shirt, a vivid pink feather boa, sunglasses and headphones. The door of the car is open. Lua, a white, gender non-conforming person, is standing next to Jess and beside the open car door, looking back at the road behind them. Wearing a pinstriped suit with a turquoise shirt just peeking through.
