Date 23 May 2025

Location The Beacon – Bowling Park
Ages All ages

Exciting young rappers and DJs from across Bradford perform live in Bowling Park as Aswad Arts launch their Bhangra Niche 2, a new mixtape-style compilation fusing the sound of bhangra and bassline.

Bhangra Niche 2 builds on the popularity of previous compilation Bhangra Niche 1 back in 2010 – and following a recent revival in the genre, expect an evening of warping basslines mixed with traditional bhangra music.

There’ll be sets from budding Bradford DJs and young rappers from the district who have all honed their skills through Aswad Arts’ Street Sounds programme, supported by Bradford Youth Service.
