Jerry ‘Red Dred’ Crawford, Natural Rhythm

Join us as we celebrate the first night of The Big Brass Blowout with a reggae and roots reunion headlined by a true Bradford legend.

A celebration of the first night of The Big Brass Blowout with a reggae and roots reunion headlined by a true Bradford legend.

Jerry ‘Red Dred’ Crawford has been a key part of music in Bradford for decades – starting out in the sound system scene of the ’80s, launching Bradford’s first dance all-nighter, setting up the city’s first community recording studio and much more. We’re thrilled he’s joining us on he first night weekend-long Big Brass Blowout with set celebrating brass music and reggae.

Natural Rhythm are another Bradford musical institution. Founded exactly 40 years ago by Anthony ‘Bootsy’ Boyce, they’ve toured with the likes of Desmond Dekker and Bad Manners – and their classic Jamaican ska and bluebeat still sounds as fresh as ever.

Reggae + Brass is part of The Big Brass Blowout, a weekend-long celebration of the best in brass.
