10am till 12pm

This session was designed for early career photographers to share their practice and gain feedback from like-minded peers. Six of their currently exhibiting artists were reviewing works; Chad Alexander, Grace Springer, Haneen Hadiy, Miriam Ali, Roz Doherty and Shaun Connell.

Nationhood: Artists In Conversation

1.30pm till 3.30pm

An insight into the work and practice of six artists from across the UK’s four nations, as featured in their then exhibition at Impressions Gallery, Nationhood: Memory and Hope.

Chad Alexander, Grace Springer, Haneen Hadiy, Miriam Ali, Roz Doherty and Shaun Connell shared their experiences of creating work for a time-limited project, collaborating with galleries, and the challenges and opportunities of being an early career photographer. This insightful open table was chaired by Anne McNeill, Curator and Director of Impressions Gallery. Followed by a Q&A.

4.00pm till 4.30pm

The day concluded with a drink with fellow photographers to celebrate and continue the conversations. It was a great chance to network with like-minded others.
