Castles in the Sky Projects

The Back in the Pink pop-up exhibition.

This was the launch of the Back in the Pink pop-up exhibition which was wrapped around the weekend-long programme, Back in the Pink.

This exhibition included brand-new commissions from Jude Kershaw, Jenn Willson, and SHARP responding to the newly formed Bradford LGBTQ+ Archive alongside material from the archive itself.

Pink After Dark

The exhibition opened in the evening as part of Pink After Dark: A celebration of the long-lost and much-missed spaces like the Bavaria and the Juncton, longtime landmarks of the Bradford LGBTQ+ scene, with new live art commissions, performances, drag artists and DJs.

About the Back in the Pink Weekender

Back in the Pink was Bradford 2025’s series dedicated to the rich and radical history of LGBTQ+ life in the city, with a weekend-long celebration of gay life – past, present and future.

We travelled back in time to explore the activism, community and culture of Bradford’s LGBTQ+ communities in the late 20th century. You connected with today’s LGBTQ+ community at workshops, discussions and a Saturday-night party.
