NEUROQUEER: Part 2
NEUROQUEER: Part 2 is a hybrid happening / zine launch / long table / listening party.
An invitation from two best mates to join them in exploring NEUROQUEER as action, verb, identity.
A Bradford 2025 Artist Award project.
As Bradford 2025 draws to a close, Theatre with Legs (TWL) invites you to NEURQUEER as action, verb & identity: Part 2. This event marks the culmination of our four-year exploration.
Join us for a cosy evening of poetry, song, experimentation, and neuroqueering. We will launch our new grassroots zine, created with the mixed media collective Loose Associations. This zine archives our four-year journey through stories, visual sound scores, poetry, and images.
The evening will be a hybrid event, featuring a long table discussion and a sound and listening party. We will create a gentle space for reflection as TWL shares original extracts from the zine and experimentally re-plays fragments of the original sound composition from Part 1.
TWL will explore freeing themselves from societal normativity, unpicking their way through the wonderful debris with defiance, playfulness, research, and readings.
Hosted by TWL in conversation with Adedamola Bajomo (Audio Description Consultant).
Please note, this will be a queer-centred space with complimentary tea, coffee, and cake.

About Theatre with Legs
Theatre with Legs (TWL) are performance/live art makers Jess Murrain and Lua Bairstow. We create queer and experimental live art using contemporary poetry, radical sound composition, movement and music. We seek to experiment with subversive and counter-cultural storytelling-where the personal meets the political, seeking always to queer performance and to undermine the white and cis-gender gaze. Theatre with Legs have been making and sharing work in Bradford since 2016 including in residency and in public facing performance.
With the support of Bradford 2025 and Neuroqueering Humans Network, Theatre with Legs now seek a radical exploration of neuroqueering as verb, adjective, action, and identity.
