Marcel Lucont’s Whine List

Alternative comedy met group therapy – did you get your moans off your chest with the UK’s favourite French comic?

Event Details
Date 4 May 2025
Times 7.30pm
Location The Beacon – Wibsey Park
Ages 18+
Access
  • Wheelchair user access

Marcel Lucont, the multi-award-deserving deadpan French comedian, served up a unique Whine List of your past gripes, moans and misdemeanours – while also dishing out some of his premier erotic poetry.

Audience members arrived early to write down some of their worst experiences, then watched misery-guts Marcel make comedy from their tragedies live on stage at The Beacon. Including louche musings, dry wit and Gallic superiority. Red or white?

As seen on The John Bishop Show (BBC1), Live at the Electric (BBC3), Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and Set List (Sky Atlantic)

‘Exceptionally dry… Superb’ – The Times

‘Fresh, accessible and hilarious’ – The Guardian

This show was recorded for the then-forthcoming Whine List podcast.
