Asian Dub Foundation reprise one of their most acclaimed projects – their powerful soundtrack to cult classic French thriller La Haine, performed live to a screening of the film for one night only.

La Haine (‘Hatred’) chronicles 24 hours in the lives of three friends from a poor suburb of Paris, where tensions are at breaking point following the death of a local man at the hands of the police. Directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, the film celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2025 – and with ADF on hand to provide a live soundtrack, it’s never sounded better.

Ages 15+. Film contains scenes of violence and gore.

About Asian Dub Foundation

Asian Dub Foundation draw from their South Asian heritage, blending traditional Asian instruments with jungle rhythms, dub basslines and rap to create their own unique sound. While their music remains designed for dancing, it is also politically charged, addressing themes of social justice.

Formed in 1993 at a music technology workshop for Asian youth, the group came together around their shared passion for music and education. Soon after, they established ADF Education, a platform aimed at empowering young people and supporting campaigns for those suffering with miscarriages of justice.

By the mid-’90s, Asian Dub Foundation had built a formidable reputation, performing alongside major acts such as Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys, Radiohead and Primal Scream.

About Mathieu Kassovitz

Mathieu Kassovitz is a French actor, director, producer and screenwriter who has won multiple awards, including three César awards (including Best Film for La Haine) and the Best Director award at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival for La Haine.

His other director credits include The Crimson Rivers (2000), Gothika (2003) and Rebellion (2011).
