Happy Baby

Stand and Be Counted

Two special sessions of sensory play for under-4s and their grown-ups at The Beacon in Bowling Park.

Two special sessions of sensory play for under-4s and their grown-ups at The Beacon in Bowling Park.

Under-4s and their grown-ups were invited to Bowling Park for a free morning of multi-sensory fun and games. Everyone was welcome at these inclusive sessions – presented by Bradford 2025 and Stand & Be Counted, the UK’s first Theatre Company of Sanctuary, as part of Refugee Week 2025.

We began at 9.30am with a gentle sensory session of movement, sound and song for babies aged 0–2 and their grown-ups. And then from 10.30am, there was a high-energy session of jumping, spinning and dancing for toddlers aged 2–4.

Refugee Week in Bowling Park

Happy Baby! was part of our programme at The Beacon in Bowling to mark Refugee Week 2025 – including What Will We Do Without Exile?, a new artwork co-commissioned by Counterpoints Arts with the support of Moomin Characters to celebrate of 80 years of the Moomins.

The Big Blue Bradford House and Happy Baby! were co-produced by Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture and Stand & Be Counted, the Associate Company of Welcome and Sanctuary.
